HistoryJedlicze Refinery was set up in 1899. In 1963 Jedlicze Refinery – as the first refinery in Poland – started regeneration of used oils (waste oils). At first the regeneration process was carried out in the adapted apparatus of simple distillation plant. In the following years a series of specialized used oil regeneration plants were installed, which provide full recycling of used oils and, as a result, production of prime quality base oils / base stock of performance comparable to that of virgin base oils. Jedlicze Refinery has been functioning in its present legal form since 1996 after it was transformed from a state-owned enterprise into a joint-stock company under the brand name of Rafineria Nafty Jedlicze Spółka Akcyjna. Since 1999 Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. (PKN ORLEN S.A.) has been Jedlicze Refinery’s major shareholder (75% of the company’s seed capital) and consequently, Rafineria Nafty Jedlicze S.A. is a part of the ORLEN Capital Group. |
