Kinds of used oils
PN-C-96050 defines the used oils as mineral used oils and ester used oils which – during their use – lost their performance and they can no longer be used for the purpose they were intended for, and there are three kinds of such oils:
- Used oils I – electro-insulating oils and oils for refrigerating compressors,
- Used oils II – turbine oils,
- Used oils III – other lube oils except of emulsifying oils and grease oils.
The breakdown of used oils is aimed at their easier selection and then processing or regeneration. There is a demand that used oils are liquid and do not contain plastic greases.
