Directive 87/101 EEC Art. 1.1Waste oils means any mineral-based lubrication or industrial oils which have become unfit for the use for which they were originally intended, and in particular used combustion engine oils and gearbox oils, and also mineral lubricating oils, oils for turbines and hydraulic oils. Directive 87/101 EEC Art. 1.4Regeneration means any process whereby base oils can be produced by refining waste oils, in particular by removing the contaminants, oxidation products and additives contained in such oils. Act of 27th April, 2001 Art. 39 item 1Waste oils should be first recovered by regeneration which is understood as any process in which base oils can be produced by refining waste oils and especially by removal of oxidation products and additives contained in these oils. Act of 27th April, 2001 Art. 39item. 4 Mixing of waste oils with other hazardous waste is forbidden, and including those containing PCB, during collection and storage.
